Problem

Heating technicians filed their job reports at night from memory, and a third of them came back with something missing. The old app assumed a desk, two hands and a network.

Approach

Every screen was designed for one thumb and tested in a boiler room. Big targets, a checklist that mirrors the paper one the company already trusted, photos and a signature captured on the spot, and a sync queue that says plainly what is still on the phone. The dispatcher's board on the web came second, once the phone side was right.

Outcome

94% of reports are now filed before the van leaves the driveway, and the back office stopped calling technicians in the evening.
